Google earth can't contact the imagery server

Hello all,
I was trying to use Google Earth 5.2.1.1588 on my PB G4, and it can't connect to the server.
Is it working for you?
The computer is connected to wifi, opens sites ok. I tried already uninstal and instal again.
On my Thinkpad running w11, that is connected to the same network it works fine.
May it be related to me installing squid4leopard?

I think this is due to something like the TLS upgrade. Where the modern definition of upgrade means that you start with something that works, and after the upgrade is does not work at all.

has nothing to do with tls…google announced a ways back that older client versions would be dropped
