Google Earth for iPad

Just downloaded an update for the Google Earth app for iPhone that makes it universal for iPad. Very frickin' cool!

It's neat and so far has been working great on the iPad.

I haven't used GE on a mobile device before. Does anyone know how you switch to street view, or is that not available in GE? I lap found the animations when switching between locations to be herby jerky....

Tried it out this morning. Wasn't too impressed with the response time to my rotate/zoom/perspective gestures. Very juddery!

Same problem, I even received the low memory message, I rebooted and it was a little better. I suspect it will be like some of those apps that need more than 256 MB to work properly.

I was using my home wifi earlier - just tried it again on 3G and it was a lot smoother.

I just tried it. No stuttering, no jitters... smooth panning and zooming. Very impressive IMO. Maybe I missed it but I couldn't find a way to bookmark locations.

The tilt feature is pretty cool. It can be turned on in the settings.

It felt laggy to me....but then again I had just used maps app prior.

Worked great for me on WiFi. Must have been your connection.
