SWEET! That looks awesome!

Article states that it is first being rolled out in the Australian App Store for some reason, and that it should be coming to other regions soon.

Everyone can download it in the USA now because I am right now. I am on WIFI and it is taking a while to download it.

Here is a picture.

when i saw the screenshot with the verizon logo i thought it was BS but its definitely real, and its very impressive

This app is fantastic. Not as "smooth" as the desktop version of course, but very, very impressive. I really like the integration with the GPS and the accelerometer (for changing the angle of view).

I am just saying if you are on 3G or EDGE it is just going to take a while :p

Heh, it only took a minute or so on 3G for me, and using the actual app on 3G also works quite well, at least for me.

I tried installing this app and then searching but then it made me wait for like 5 mins while it was searching for a connection and in the end it says connection lost. Tried twice and both times it says could not connect.

Got it! The zoom and turn controls are amazing... I love how Google is still making all this iPhone stuff even though they have Android now...

What is the point on getting google earth when we already have the maps application? It looks the same and uses the same engine, does it not?

My bad. I thought they use the same engine. It probably is a bit too heavy on the MBs though. anyway, I love the application in my PC, so I will give it a go in my iphone 3G, although will have me waiting ages to get a decent pic over Edge or even 3G.

thanks!
