Google File Drive Annoyances - Folder Sort?

I recently updated from Google Drive to Google File Stream. Couple of annoyances, if anyone else is having them or solutions?:

1.After a restart the new "My Drive" for Google File Stream does not keep the folder sorting I selected when using last. I sort by kind and when I restart any the My Drive or any sub folder/files in finder are sorted alpha.

2. I'm assuming because File Stream is now an "added drive" the Drive icon must remain on the desktop? Any way to choose to hide/not see it?
