Where I am
Over the past week, I have been monitoring a thread about the 'best' email provider to use. With that, often Google/Gmail is mentioned as the one to avoid, due to privacy concerns. This has thus sparked a few questions from me...

If one is using Google for Contacts, Email, and Calendar, but, Safari for browsing, is that still seen as a privacy concern?
Alternatively, if one is using iCloud for Contacts, Email, and Calendar, but Google Chrome for browsing, is that still a privacy concern?

Honestly, I am trying to figure out the best solution for all my items, i.e., Contacts, Email, and Calendar, and lastly which browser to use when browsing the internet.

Primarily I use Apple devices, and I do have a Windows gaming computer, too...

IF you use google services, then your data and information is harvested and sold to the highest bidder. There is no privacy when it comes to google.

If you use Apple hardware, why are you questioning using their services? They're more privacy minded then google.

Personally, I use Proton for my email, I also use their VPN,, I find their email service provides superior options and services compared to apple mail. I use a custom domain in conjunction to proton mail, which gives me the ability to move to a different provider without needing contact everyone in the world about a new email address

As for chrome, I avoid using it. I prefer firefox where possible, I have more extensions available with firefox then with safari.
