Apologies in advance if someone’s posted this already.

I’m thinking this must’ve happened either after the late iOS update, or some recent Google update.

This is really disappointing. You can no longer simply long press on an image in Google Images and do a copy/paste. You only have two choices - download the image into your Photos, or share it - which is shared in the form of a link and not the image - which is a real pain.

For as long as I can remember, on iOS anyway, you’ve been able to simply long press on an image and select “copy”.

Wonder if Google decided that they didn’t like users being able to do this?

Seems like it's still an option if you select one of the images from Google Image search in Safari and then long press on it.

Won’t even work for me from Safari. I can select “copy”, but when I go to paste, it pastes the link to the image and not the image itself.

Is anyone else having this issue??

Sounds like Google probably changed things up somewhere, as they often do.

Ditto MAYBE Google changed something. At least in the Google app, which is what appears you are using.

Not seeing the issue. Long press in Chrome shows Copy option, and it is the pic that copies. Ditto Safari.
