Technically.. hp copied apple and not google. The Chromebook Pixel was a google designed case. But hp is not the lone chromebook offender. Does this remind you of anything?

You can put Ubuntu on them... that's a big step up from ChromeOS

Check out elementary OS, it is based on Ubuntu but looks more like OS X, it even has a dock (they call it the plank).
