Google Maps and the iPhone

If I use Chrome and look up a place on Google Maps, will I be able to see that history like on a Android phone on the iPhone ??

Basically if I look up directions in Chrome on Google Maps so long as I'm logged in with my Google account I can then pull up that history on Google Maps on my android phone. Just wondering if that is also possible on the iPhone with the Google Maps application.

When Google Maps is downloaded it presents you with the option to sign-in to your account to access past searches, favorite places, and improved recommendations.
