Hey everyone.

I've got a Moto Q and downloaded the Google Maps application.

Since the Q doesn't have built in GPS, I figured it would do the iPhone thing and locate cell towers. But it doesn't seem to.

Is there a setting somewhere? How can I find my location?

When did you download it? The newest version should have something called a My Location feature, that's the pseudo-GPS thing.

TBH, you're better off getting a Bluetooth GPS receiver if you plan on using it for navigation, the tower triangulation is horribly inaccurate. Right now, Google Maps on my phone has me about 10 miles south of where I am (and I'm well outside it's little radius of accuracy). Of course, I'm in the middle of nowhere and don't have many towers to go off of (more towers=more accuracy) but I've found that even in large cities, it's still too far off for it to be useful for turn by turn directions.

Although it's handy for those times when you just want to find a place of business that's around you or quickly jumping to your current location
