Google maps app issue

My google maps app has a problem. It will locate me with the blue dot until I zoom out then it shows a completely different city (and it shows the blue locate dot that I'm there?) I've tried a soft and hard reset. Could someone give me some advice please?

yes others work fine

Make sure Maps has all the permissions, beyond that I will have to think about it. I had a similar issue quite a while ago but I do not know what triggered it.

By hard reset do you mean taking it back to factory default settings?

Yes it has all permissions. Back hard reset I mean holding both buttons until the apple logo comes up. I've been JB'd for over 1 year w/o an issues, not sure what's going on

You could try restoring to factory default. Make sure your iPhone is recently backed up. I've been trying to duplicate the issue to no avail.
