google maps crashes

I have a jailbroken ipt with 1.1.4 fw and all the apps installed fine except maps which starts up and then shuts down.
I checked the preferences etc to make sure gm framework etc is on there and it is.
any advice?
I used the applerepo.com site to install it from the installer.

PS: sorry about this post
i think i got the wrong maps on it
since im not sure if this maps is gps version or not.

UPDATE: ok its not the gps version its the old maps off iphone without the flip of the page annimation

ok all apps are fine.My itunes even tells me that i have the latest firmware with software upgrade(which im assuming is the apps)

however the google maps seem to be the old version thats not gps.
any help

i finally out of sheer luck got it working
