Has anyone tried doing search on their iPhone using the Gmap?

I don't feel like typing it all out so here is what I am talking about.

Just tried this and it seems to give me pubs in edinburgh when I try rude words. I live about 10 miles from edinburgh and several rude words all give the same results.

What the heck is that all about then?

Me too. I got the Traverse Theatre and a branch of Subway. Although it's strange, it's not really what I'd call "fun"...

In NYC, the recommended search yielded NBC news, Fox news, roselsnd ballroom, and carnaige hall, among others.

"Interesting" fact of the day. there is a Carnegie Hall in the town near where I live cos that is where he was from.

Coincidence?

I dont think so. There is some sort of conspiracy going on here...............

If you look on the web version of Gmaps you'll see places are linked with reviews from affiliated websites, and the search text is highlighted within that review. So in my local town I put in "****" and it points to a certain nightclub because someone had said it was **** in a review.

And they were right.
