Google maps vs. Mapquest for Washington DC

[senseless]

My cousin has to go south on 1-95 past Washington DC to South Carolina. Google is telling her to get onto I-295 to I-395 which seems to run through the Capital.

Mapquest guides her around the eastern side of the Beltway. Her car navigation is taking her around the western side of the Beltway!

Who do we trust? She'll be passing though DC at 1pm on a weekday.

Go 500 miles west then cut back down south. It will be faster than going through DC.

The key thing is to avoid rush hour! I am not sure which of them would be better at 1 PM though. I live here but do not drive, if it helps though rarely when I have been in a car going from one side of DC to the other has the person driven taken 395.
