Hi,
I have an issue with Google's new hangouts messaging app released yesterday, wondering if its just me or anyone else has experienced the issue. Using an iPhone 4 on iOS 6.1 sending messages between me and a recipient using ios6.1 iphone 4s I can not see what the last message read was as the profile picture indicator permanently stays at the bottom of the screen regardless of whether the recipient has seen the message or not. The recipient also experiences this same issue when sending messages to me. I used the app on my android tablet and can see when you click the other users display picture in a conversation a bubble pops up saying xxx has read up to here which doesn't happen in the iOS version . To test I sent messages between my iPhone 4 and tablet and on the tablet the indicator stays at bottom of screen even if I lock my phone but when I send messages to the tablet the indicator shows on the iphone what's been read and not read by me on the tablet. It seems to be an iOS issue perhaps but I have not seen anyone else raise this issue. It is quite frustrating.
