Starting today, none of the links on Google's news page were working when being viewed in Mobile Safari. I tried a few other sites (including Google's standard web search) and didn't have any trouble. If I tapped and held on a link on Google News, a JavaScript menu would come up with the options to open or cancel. Choosing "open" had no effect, so I went to Safari's options and enabled JavaScript (which has been disabled the whole time I've owned the phone).
After enabling JavaScript, the links in Google News worked like they always have: opening a new window to view the news story in. So my question is, has anyone else noticed this problem? Like I said, JavaScript has always been disabled and Google News has always worked fine without it. It (logically) has to be something on Google's side of things, because the iPhone software hasn't been changed recently, but I wanted to make sure it wasn't just my phone.
Mine's a 3G 16GB running 3.1.3.
