Google now next appointment not showing .. Help!!

Hi all,
In order to use this, I got rid of my iCloud calendar and is back with google calendar. The appointments are definitely there. Full days, single meetings etc etc

But nothing is appearing as a next appointment ... What's wrong?

iPhone 5 / ios 6.1.4

Do you have location services enabled for Google app? It seems to need that for some reason.
