Google Photos on 9.1b1 duplicates photos?

My iPhone 5 on iOS 9.1 beta 1 seems to duplicate photos in Google Photos. All images were fully backed up to GP but after updating to 9.1, they upload all over again. Photos in iCloud PL and default Photos.app do not seem to duplicate. This does not happen on my iPad on 9.0 GM.

Anyone else seeing this?
