YoY growth was pathetic. It's pretty clear that the Android strategy isn't one of revenue growth but one of revenue preservation. When was the last time Apple missed estimates?
Then again what can you expect when they're giving away a beta OS and relying on ad revenue?
Their priorities dictate their performance. As with any other tech outfit. Their whole "open" platform is total bogus in terms of creating value.

agreed. ~%30 increase in revenues for a company of Google's size is solid performance fanboy or not.
i'm more interested in Page's development. he already did a mini re-org, cut product lines, set a unified direction for the company and ruffled the feathers of some institutional investors... all within a couple months of being CEO.
from this point on it seems Google will shed some of that start-up mentality that's driven their success. it'll all come down on Page and his team to manage the public's perception of the company's future... should be pretty fascinating to observe.
are they going to be like Jerry Yang or Jobs/Gates
