Google Reader needs Safari integration

I've been playing around with Google Reader quite a bit today, and while it's a nice little web app, it's only great when used with its Firefox extension. There's not even a proper bookmarklet for it, so Safari users get left out in the dust with features like "Notebook It" and saving links. Has anyone else tried out gNotebook? If not, what do you guys use to keep notes on your Mac?
