Hey,
on my MacBook Pro Retina it says, in the Safari preferences that Google Safe Browsing isn't available. Do you have this warning too ? I've already unchecked and rechecked the box, but it doesn't go away.
Thanks in advance :)

Can't help you with the issue above, but if it's "safe browsing" you're interest in, you might check out the -free- "Epic Privacy Browser".

It hides you from trackers, and can even hide your IP address, if you wish.

Delete SafeBrowsing.db

Hi,

(I found this somewhere on another forum)

I also had this 'Google Safe Browsing is unavailable' warning. This is what worked for me:

In the Finder choose Go> Go to Folder
type the following in the search field:

/private/var/folders

You'll see folders like 72 , zz etc. Look for a folder com.Apple.Safari (in my case it was in 72>C) and delete SafeBrowsing.db.

On restarting Safari a new SafeBrowsing.db is automatically created and the warning no longer appears
