iPhone Google search blocked frequently "Unusual Traffic"

For the last month or so, when I search Google from Mobile Safari over 3G, I have frequently (but not consistently) been getting the “Sorry, we’ve detected unusual traffic from your network” error page.

Sometimes it has a captcha that I can enter, sometimes it does not. Sometimes when I clear the browser history and cookies the problem gets solved, sometimes I have to wait.

I had never gotten that error before about a month ago. Has anyone else seen it? Figured out how to fix it?

All I can imagine is that one of my apps or tweaks might be doing a lot of automatic Google queries that I don’t know about. Are there any that are known for doing so? I can attach a list of my installed packages if that would help figure it out.

I am running iOS 5.0.1 on a jailbroken iPhone 4s.

I am not signed into Google (nor any other website.) I keep Mobile Safari in “Private Browsing” mode.

I've had the same problem recently, if I use a diff web browser it's fine. It only happens with Safari. Last week it was was constant,this week it has only happened a few times.

Interesting. That is entirely possible, I suppose. I am on AT&T. If it really is an cell carrier problem, there not likely anything I can do about it.

But to diagnose whether or not it is actually something acting up on my device, is there any way to monitor the network traffic entering and leaving my iPhone, the way Little Snitch does for the Mac?

But if its your phone you would probably see the issue on your wifi

I would restore as new and jb it again
You can also delete one by one until you figure out which one is the culprit

Update: the problem appears to be solved. I no longer see Unusual Traffic messages blocking my Google searches. I uninstalled a few tweaks (also, installed a few more, but I doubt that's relevant.)

So my working hypothesis is one of the tweaks I removed, had been doing automated Google queries exclusively over cell network. I didn't keep track of exactly which tweaks I removed, but here's my current list:
