Google search stops searching...

I recently had an issue with Google Search on my iMac laptop. For 2 days it simply stopped searching whatever I typed in the search engine. A blank page popped up. Just now it is back searching again properly.

Has anyone had this issue? If so, if this issue happens again, how would I fix it?
