Google Services Including Gmail and YouTube Suffer Global Outage [Update: Fixed]

Gmail, YouTube and Google Docs are all experiencing severe outages, with reports of problems accessing the services across much of Europe, the U.S., and India.

Google News, Google Translate, Google Ads, Google Domain, Google Cloud Platform Dashboard, and Google My Business are also down. Other services that use Google to log in are similarly affected.

It's not clear right now what's causing the issues, but the DownDetector website indicates that all three services went down at approximately 3:30 a.m. Pacific Time.

We'll update this article when we learn more.

Update: Some users are able to access the services using Incognito mode or a private browsing tab, suggesting it's Google's authentication servers that are at fault.

Update 2 @ 4:40 a.m. PT: Services appear to be slowly coming back online now, based on multiple user reports.

Funny, there's nothing loading in the YouTube iPhone app but videos are playing in Safari. I'm not signed in tho in Safari and I can't sign in right now - "Oops! Something went wrong."

Down here in Central Ohio, maybe they are fixing the scrolling issue when using Safari on the M1.

I opened macrumors in a separate page and saw this while I am streaming the Bob and Tom show on YouTube in another window. I went to YouTube main page and it shows the error but it looks like my streaming is working just fine as long as I don't leave the page.

Hope they fix the Safari bug that keeps crashing Safari.
I logged in early like 3a PST and it was half way up then bam, their dashboard turned red with all services down.
Now it’s all back up so likely maintenance.
