Google Sync Contacts? Anyone get this working yet

I know I saw people talking about google sync earlier... anyone get this right yet?

Yeah, I'm having the same issue, i know if you search Google sync in Google, it will give you instructions... But I am still confused about the whole process.

If you're using Exchange to sync, I had the same issue, so I just deleted the current exchange user and re-added it and that fixed the issue.

Works fine for me, mail and contacts were able to sync with no issues. I followed the instructions on the google sync site.

I followed the instructions too, but it says i have to delete my local contacts before i can sync contacts.. or something along those lines, but i dont understand why it wants me to delete all my contacts in order to sync those same contacts?
