I'm looking for a chat program that will let me send a message when the person is offline (just got rid of unlimited txt messages) and I know google talk sends me an email of Google Talk messages I miss after signing out.

The problem is the email can be seen and check from my gmail account in a web browser, but it is not showing up on my iPhone's email. Is this on purpose? Because I would really like the Talk history to be sent to my iPhone gmail account as well. Would there be any other solution to sending messages to offline members but allowing them to check/view the message once they sign on?
