Perhaps, they should have cleaned out the bugs in the current one before adding new functionality. I suspect they know that it causes Firefox crashes, though.

Agreed. I'm holding off until I hear they've fixed the crashes.

I don't know but I haven't heard they've fixed it. Until I do, I'll hold off installing it.

on my C2D MBP, all you have to do is install the google 2.0 toolbar in FF 2.0 and it will crash at least 10 times a day. that's with no other extensions installed

it's a well known problem that doesn't seem to affect everyone on macs
