Using Google will make you rich!

Well, OK, not really. I have the cause and effect backwards. But a study shows that being richer will make you more likely to use Google.

Macworld article
People whose primary search engine is Google are more likely to have household incomes above $60,000 than people who use competing search engines, according to the survey, whose results S.G. Cowen published in a report Monday.
They also took a survey and found these percentages of use of search sites:
Google 52%
Yahoo 22%
MSN 9%
AOL 9%
Ask Jeeves 5%
other 3%

Interesting although not entirely surprising. Since the wealthier have been online longer and those who are online longest prefer Google, I'd have said it was pretty predictable...

I am curious as to who paid for the research though. Google to drive up their advertising revenues?

what a worthless survey

Absolutely not, as I am about to walk into a meeting and recommend reallocating our search engine budgeting with more to Google and less to Yahoo. Sales numbers back it up and this won't hurt.
