Google Voice as Voicemail: Forwarding Commands not working, PLEASE HELP

Hi- I'm trying to use Google Voice as my voicemail and I'm trying to activate by dialing the call forwarding commands. But for some reason it comes back with errors.

I'm using a 3GS on 3.1.2, unlocked on T-Mobile USA. Please help. Thank you.

If you have a pre-paid account with T-Mobile, this will not work.
