Google voice invite

Hi, I was hoping to use google voice to make international calls.

My wife is out of the country and I was hoping to call her vie GV, if anyone has a google voice invite to spare I be so greatful to get one.

Anyone else have an invite here? I would love one so that when I open a new line, I could just give everyone a GV number so that it will always forward to whatever number I have.

You are very welcome. Google Voice is great, I have been using it since for almost a year now and I love it. I use the Blackberry App which makes it even better. I only wish Apple would get there head out of there a$$ and approve the app for the iPhone. Maybe then I would switch, maybe!!!

I have a couple, but I'd prefer to give them to established members, if they're interested. :)
 
Google Voice

If you had an account on Grand Central it will transfer to Google Voice so just sign-in on Grand Central and it will tell you how to upgrade. Otherwise there is no current time line for opening up the invitations. Current members can't send out invitations yet like they did with Grand Central.

I just learned about what Google Voice is after seeing this thread. Does anyone out there have any more invites? I'd like to give it a try to keep in touch with former students abroad.

I don't have any invites but you can pick them up for under $10 on eBay. I just got invited from Google a couple of days ago, anyone else?

There is. The difference is both can place calls, but Google Voice doesn't do video (which Skype can do) and Voice also has many options for messages, redirecting calls to certain numbers at certain times, etc. Skype is more like a phone carrier, Voice is like the voicemail/call screening type of thing. :)
