google voice not getting voicemail, going to iphone visual voicemail

for some reason GV isn't getting voicemail, it's going to my iphone visual voicemail for some reason. Any reason for this?

Did you dial this to setup forwarding?

To my knowledge, I think that forwards ALL your voicemail to Google Voice. If the OP just wants the two to be separate, then that won't help.

I had this problem before as well. You have to extend the amount of time the phone will ring before visual voicemail picks it up. I forget exactly how that's done though, so someone else will have to chime in. It's some number you have to call.
