So I'm thinking about porting my existing cell number into google voice, since I like the way it frees me up from one carrier, and the fact that I could answer/make calls from multiple devices. However, if I do this, would I still be able to use the number with iMessages and FaceTime? I've had the number for like, ten years, and use iMessages and FaceTime a lot, so I probably won't port over to google voice if those services would be disrupted. Thanks to anyone who might know the answer to this.

You would only be able to use iMessage & Facetime with your email address you have assigned to them. The phone number would not work anymore after you port it out.
