Does anyone know of a viable Google Voice replacement? As we know, Google Voice is going away in favor of Hangouts. However, with Hangouts I'm unable to 1) attach third party phone apps, ie. Talkatone, 2) unable to send sms, 3) unable to customize forwarding options, etc.

Why do you need Talkatone? Hangouts can do VOIP dialing if you install the Hangouts dialer from the Play Store. I can even do VOIP dialing from a Google account that doesn't have a GV number attached to it.

But Hangouts cannot send SMS. I'm using iOS, not Android
