I had to get my iPhone exchanged at the genius bar. Prior voicemail would go right to google voice and I would receive voicemail by email. Now voicemail is going to iPhone. What are the settings in google voice to receive voicemail via email?

Try the "Alert me when I have new voicemails: Email the message to: [Your e-mail]" setting, accessible from the Google Voice Settings web interface / Voicemail & Text tab.

Hi I'm still getting voicemails to my iPhone and not getting emails via gmail.

Since this is a new device I forget how I set gv up before.

Do you think it has something to do with carrier voicemail? Should I get carrier voicemail deactivated?

Prior to my new device people would dial my AT&T number and voicemail's would not go to AT&T voicemail, they would go to gv voicemail and I would email.

I've never heard of anything like that being possible with Google Voice, but maybe you had a special setup. I have no idea how to get Google Voice to save voicemail left on an AT&T number, unless you had some kind of forwarding to your Google Voice number set up through AT&T.

op, you might need to activate google voicemail on your phone again. you can do so in the voice settings page under the phones tab.
