Google Voice can't work with an iPod, it needs a phone.

Google Voice is not VOIP.

Except GV mobile or what ever it is that I have, runs on the touch, so I can text people... and I use it to connect my home phone to people that I want to talk to (I'm home a lot.)
I was bummed when the official Google Voice app didn't work on my iPod touch. I hope Google makes it compatible.

you can get google voice to run on ipod for texting and voicemail though

You even try to run google voice on your ipod? It can not transform the voice into data packet, so it can not accomplish the real-time data transmission through ip internet.

Reread my post again, for texting and voicemale, thats it and yes it works
