Well, I see this pretty much as an end of unlocked bootloader's and rooting "your" device...

Probably won't effect most people however.

 
Wow, just reading about this. Terrible if true. When this happens I'll be done with Android and will just go back to using iPhones. There's no point. Love the freedom to do what I want with my device that I own. Including sideloading which is a big deal. Even paid YouTube Premium has issues I can't stand that are easily fixed with "patches." Take that away, there's no benefit to me of using Android at all.
 
Personally, I couldn't care less. I haven't sideloaded anything since the Cyanogen days.
Same. Well, I guess I technically side load when I'm using icon pack studio, but they said they're already working on a solution. Otherwise, yeah I don't really care.

If you have a Samsung device those two things were not really an option anyways (at least not without messing with Knox).
