GoPhone Simcard + WalMart Phone = Works?

I'm about to sell my phone (for $450...omg? HOW!? haha), and im wondering how to go about keeping my phone number in the interim. So...will my iPhone GOPHONE simcard work? Because the GoPhone account is like an iPhone Hybrid account as all are...anyways, im just wondering if it will work
