GoPro 6 2,7k 120fps to 60fps with iMovie?

Hi there, I would like to ask a more advanced forumer - please give me some ideas on how to decrease fps on vids shot with gopro 6. I did the mistake of increasing the fps so much for no reason...some people have suggested i could fix the issue with iMovie, so if anyone can give me a tutorial on how to do so, without dropping down on the overall quality I would appreciate it! thank you

Quality is in the eye of the beholder. FCPX changes the frame rate when you drop a clip onto a project timeline set up with a custom frame rate of your choice. Dunno if iMovie can do the same thing, or if there are better/cheaper re-timing alternatives.
