So my uncle is a bit of a computer nerd and bought me a vertex 2 as an early birthday present. Basically i've been roaming the forums and haven't gotten the answer to my questions. Any other vertex 2 owners wanna give me some tips?
Should i install it on a PC first to update firmware?
If so...do i just install windows on it, run the updater from OCZ, put it in my MBP and do a clean install of OSX?
Or
Should i just install it in my MBP and forget about it like a normal HDD?
Also, is there a way to check the firmware on my MBP? Obviously if it already ships with the newest firmware i won't need to update it. I don't want to put it in a PC then install windows and waste a bunch of time if i don't have to haha.
