So yea,

Gave them a pristine condition MacBook Pro (As documented in the work authorization that the laptop had no dents, scratches or cracks), received one with a huge "Crack" of sorts on the lower bezel that's clearly caused by something like a screw driver or a metal tool and it's so deep that it's impossible that such a damage could have occurred while the screen was attached to the body.

No appointments available till Monday. Anyone else ever had to go through this?

Just went through something similar last Saturday. Took my iPhone 7 in for a $29 battery replacement. It’s out of warranty. Also in pristine condition per their inspection. When I got it back the Touch ID wouldn’t work. Called and they said the next appointment was Wednesday. I walked in when the store opened the next day (Sunday) and explained to them what happened (phone broken during repair) and asked if they could take me now....as oppoesed to waiting for an appointment. They did and I was offered a free screen repair or a new iPhone 7. I chose the new iPhone 7.

As DSTOFL did, I'd go in ASAP and explain the situation. I had a MBP in for repair and when I got it back the mobo was installed wrong and the etehrnet port could not accept a cable. I discovered it by accident when I asked them to run a daignositic and they could not plug the cable in. I explained the situation, and the manager replaced it with a new MBP with same specs, including having a seperate GPU. In my case, it was the second repair after the 1st one took 2 weeks and didn't fix the issue. they even credited the price to a higher spec'd machine.

I just wouldn't wait. Be there when they open.
