Man 'took 40,000 ecstasy tablets'

"Mr A" took up to 25 ecstasy pills a day
Doctors have revealed details of the biggest recorded user of ecstasy - a man estimated to have taken 40,000 ecstasy pills in his life.
At the height of his use, the man - known as "Mr A" - was taking 25 tablets a day, Psychosomatics journal revealed.

The 37-year-old still had trouble with short-term memory problems seven years after he stopped taking the drug.

Doctors at St George's Hospital, London said Mr A's case was extreme, but showed ecstasy's long-term effects.

The doctors said it was the largest reported ecstasy lifetime consumption by one person, the previous being around 2,000 tablets.

That's simply amazing. I hope he can eventually clean himself up.

depending if he got a bulk discount or not lets just go on the general for what i know of a price per pill

25-35 is the norm for what i see. multiply that by 40,000

1,000,000 for 25 a piece and 1,400,000 at 35 a piece

Hell lets say he got a great discount and they were 10 dollars a piece that is still 400,000 dollars. That is a ridiculous amount of money and only a fellow drug dealer could have that much money i believe. Unless he was making them himself

and per day he was spending 625-875 on the 25-35 average.

Somebody taking that much is probably dealing as well by that stage.

Especially with the kind of access to the other cocktail of substances he was enjoying... namely; ...cannabis, and said he had previously taken solvents, benzodiazepines, amphetamines, LSD, cocaine, and heroin.

True. I doubt any person at that stage of addiction could possibly hold a legitimate job. Or maybe he was independently wealthy.

I have heard of 'wholesale' prices for £3 each over here in the UK... just over US$5.
 
I,ve heard of prices down to 50p in bulk and also during the time this guy was using lots of people were making loads of money from raves and e's or whatever and they weren't stingy about spreading it around.On the other hand it could be a load of bollocks from a nutter.:)

Now the real question is. Have I taken more painkillers than he has taken E, it should be close. -_- T_T

Well i doubt it am close actually, but i can guarantee i have over 5,000-10,000 pain killers.

mmm i can feel that live failure :p (stupid illness -_-)
 
No wonder you can't get decent E in London anymore. That b*stard was downing it all :mad:

I can see the folks at DARE foaming at the mouth over this.

See kids? This is what happens if you take just one of these pills. Just say no!
 
Wow. 40,000 pills? Assuming he started when he was 10 and continued until 30 (when he stopped), that's an average of almost 5.5 pills a day, every day, for 20 years.

Scary.

Supposedly he was taking upto 25 a day for about 7-10 years.
Less than £2 a pill is the going rate, last I heard, cheaper if you're buying in bulk. What a tw@
You can say no to the drugs but they might not listen
