I was at a rummage sale today, & I got a LaCie external hard drive for $3.00, but it was missing its power supply, I got it because these seem to be good hard drives, I have seen them & many are expensive.

I have tried to determine the model of it, but I could not see a model number anywhere on it's exterior.

From looking at the power outlet on it it looks like an older pin type or 4 pin type power.

I see 301146U by it's serial number, would this be its model number? it has 2 firewire 800 ports, 1 firewire 400 port & a usb 2.0 port.

I also see automatic line switching 90-240VAC, 50-60hz on it too.

I was also considering getting a generic power supply for my D2 Quadra. This is the second time the power supply has failed and it isn't covered under warranty anymore. Were you able to get a power supply for it somewhere? I have a Fry's in the city.

That's an old LaCie d2, this would be the power supply. (Edit: And an old topic, too.)

wow. Angry reviewers or just really bad product. Thanks for the link though. :)

Yeah, I've gone through a couple power supplies. Used to get them for like $40-$50. I retired the enclosure but probably still have a working power supply somewhere.
