Moved from iPhone X to XS as I got a great deal on it. Surpassingly I don’t notice any difference in my daily use at all. Hardly notice significant difference in Face ID recognition. I hope camera is much better. What else is better??

I don't think it's changed a lot except for a better camera. I sometimes wish I had held onto my X but with Apple I'm like a child in a sweet shop; there is an Apple Store very close to me.

You have dual-SIM functionality trough eSIM. Very useful while roaming, as data is very expensive. You a a faster 4G modem (gigabit) so future proofed when the carriers deploy more carrier-agregated bands.

These kind if threads are what is making me want to keep my X till next December. I’m due for an upgrade this month but honestly i’m satisfied with the X’s camera and performance. I don’t need duel sims and from what I gather the LTE performance isn’t really noticeable.. IP68 would be nice but for the $100 it will cost for taxes on the upgrade it’s not worth it..

Did you just see the great deal & not do any research?

One of the more pointless upgrades in iPhone history, for the typical user.

What was wrong with the X?

Wish people would stop upgrading for the sake of it...prices Apple are charging need to be discouraged, not applauded.

I used to upgrade every year but now I probably won’t. Went from an 8 plus to the max and I’ll be holding on to this one for a while.

How much better is the battery life? Especially standby and overnight?

I upgraded for two reasons;

1) Duel SIM (for UK and USA)
2) Better camera (I am keen photographer)

I am happy with these improvements and my previous X is now being used by my wife to replace her old 6s+ so it has worked out for us.

But for most people no real reason to upgrade from X to Xs

How much better battery does the XS have compared to the X on iOS 12?

Was your X on iOS 12?

Congratulations on the upgrade thanks for sharing, that's why I'm sticking with my X for another cycle.

What made you upgrade if you don’t feel a difference in daily use?

I would’ve stayed put or gone Xr/max if you had an x and can’t tell the difference but have to upgrade

At least there would be obvious physical differences

I was going to buy another iPhone X for my daughter as Xmas gift. Since I got a great deal on an XS I went for it. Paid about the same price as what I would have paid for an x.

Haven’t used the camera much yet. Battery seems to be a little better overnight.

Yeah, that’s why I held onto my X. Normally I’m one to upgrade every year but there was nothing significant enough for me to justify upgrading again, and losing signal strength.

It would have been difficult to justify going from the X to the Xs for me. The max was enough to push me to upgrade. However now that I have the phone I think the improved speakers and the camera improvements alone are worth the upgrade yet on paper they don’t seem like much!
