hello everyone, so as the title says, I love to make iMovies. I'm a total beginner, and I just make movies for fun.
I have been using the Sony PC109 Link
Really have no complaints. It does what I expect it to do, and I'm able to edit it in iMovie then burn it on DVD.
So I get the CX7 as a gift and I was really excited "YES! Now instead of playing the whole movie to import it I can just drag clips into iMovie fairly quickly" Turns out it even takes longer, a 20 minute clip take 40 minutes to import, and the quality isn't even better than my normal mini DV camera.
Also it's not even that much smaller than my PC109.
Can somebody help me out, I have a gift receipt. Is there something I'm supposed to do properly with this camera or shall I just return it?
Also, can anybody help me out with a proper suggestion for another camera. To me honestly, size is most important, the smaller it is, the more likely I'm to carry it and the more likely I'm to capture footage!
