I bought a used iPhone from someone.
I have no use for it as a telephone or for jailbreaking or unlocking.
I just want to activate it to be used for all non-telephone functions.

Q1) How can I do this with the 2.0 firmware?

Actually the iPhone is already functional. But there is a "restriction lock" that requires a 4 dig passcode I don't have to clear all the settings. I am afraid to RESTORE the phone since I fear it may need to be re-activated, and I don't know if "hacktivation" programs are avail for 2.0 phones yet. I really just want to wipe out the phone to clear it all, so I can start afresh.

Q2) Will RESTORING the iPhone screw me as it won't be activated any longer and will be a paperweight?

Please help!

Pwnage works on all original iPhones and lets you unlock and activate.

Read my FAQ somewhere on this forum below!

If your in the UK on O2 - any O2 SIM will activate the iPhone as well.
