UPDATE: forgot to mention, is the processor upgradeable?

My aunt had an imac g3 but I dont remeber what its specs were. I think the max RAM may be 1gb or maybe 2. I think just 1 though.

I have a G3 iMac that's 350MHz with Panther on it. Since 400 isn't that much faster, I recommend putting Panther on it (10.3) and as much RAM as you can (I think it's 1GB Max) because even Panther runs a little slow.

1) You can't. 867Mhz G4 or better
2) 1GB
3) It's hard as heck, but it should be ATA
4) A better computer. ;) Unless you only surf/type/light use, it'll be slow like tanj.

And I don't think the G3s were upgradable. At least, not nearly as much as the G4s.

Yeah you can upgrade the HDD if you have patience. RAM should be PC100/133. Check out Crucial or (more cheaply) OWC.
