Got an iPhone 3G, now I need a mac computer, please help me

I wanted either an imac (base 20" model) or the macbook pro 13"

both around the same price range but considering the iphone is like a mini computer in its own right, I might just go for the imac or wait for the imac refresh

You can't go wrong with a MBP 13'' I have the UMB and it is wonderful.

Or get the 13" for lounging on the couch and get a monitor for desk work. Just a thought.

I was set on a 24" iMac when buying my computer. But after debate and thinking over what my needs are, i got the MBP, and i can't believe i almost was going to get a desktop. It is weird, but sometimes i forget this thing is portable. I am on the computer ALOT, and have a 24" 1080P LCD monitor, a BT mouse, speakers and an external LaCie as well, so alot of stuff is hooked up to the computer - thus i forget it is portable.

But that is the beauty of the MBP. You can have the best of both worlds! Last night I was watching Jimmy Falon and Bob Saget (which was really funny!!) while on my computer.

Can't go wrong with either of these choices. Like others have said, visit an Apple store to see them in person and then make your decision.

If you really need it then yes, you should wait for it. But we don't know for sure if/when a matte version will be offered.

I vote 13" macbook pro. Can't go wrong also long as you get a monitor.
