Used to drop my iPhone 5 a lot before I realized it was because I was trying to avoid fingerprints on the screen. Finally said "screw it" and stopped worrying about it.

After that I have rarely dropped my phone. My 6s+ still looks the same as when I got it.

No cases. Ever.

I can't count on one hand the number of times I've dropped any phone that I've owned.

The spiegen cases look great, but like @Newtons Apple said, you'll want to get a stronger case if you're dropping it a lot.

Or try using it caseless for a little while. It could actually make it easier to hold (or make you subconsciously more careful). I never use cases and I've had no issues holding my 6s+ securely.

I've owned every flagship iPhone except the 4S and have only dropped a phone once ever. It was the 3GS and the corner got dented. Other than that all my phones have always been in pristine like new condition

How can you avoid fingerprints on the screen?
Besides never touching the screen with your fingers? :D

Well, the iPhone 5 had straight sides. I was gripping it by the sides only.

Until the first time I dropped it from chest height unto gravel. Fortunately for me it landed back down. But that was enough for me to start gripping it correctly.

I think you will find that your question is actually quite a stupid one.

The obvious answer to avoiding fingerprints on the iPhone is to buy the iPad Pro LTE and to use this as your phone instead. Download a VOIP app for calls and then only use the apple pen for interfacing with the screen.

You get the added bonus of adding extra screen real estate to your phone using this approach as well.

Luckily Apple released a smaller 9.7" iPad Pro which should fit nicely into your pocket which makes this all a very elegant solution.

I hear you.
I think I baby mine too much.
I have a case on that completely covers the back, top, bottom and sides and a glass screen protector on the front.
So technically I don't touch any part of the phone at all :)
Besides the home button. That's the only thing not covered:D

It's amazing once you drop an iPhone once, how you almost hold your breath hoping it's not damaged, and how careful you are in the future. It's like waking up from a nightmare.

I dropped my 7 last night in my kitchen from about chest height, not a single bit of damage but I have it in an Apple silicone case.

I've dropped my 6S more than any other iPhone I've had. Not sure why, but after having cracked the screen once, I put a better case on there. I use the Body Glove case.

Nope. Have had every iPhone since the iphone since the 5 and haven't dropped it yet. Get AC+ every time though cause it only takes 1 time.
