I did instore pick up and picked up my phone on launch day. I had a new employee helping me. His manager was following him but didn’t actually help him with the transactions. When trying to ring me up for my phone, he had an issue and the system kept timing out on the Apple care plus screen. He had to ring up the Apple care plus separately after everything was done. This happened to both phones I picked. I was charged $10.81 twice but it’s still pending so the authorization may fall off. The other person I picked up the phone for, I entered their email so they got charged $10.81 twice too for Apple Care. So we have 4 pending charged between the both of us for Apple Care. The strange part here is that up until Thursday, the pending authorization for the taxes ($103.04) were pending but fell off Friday. I have not been charged again for actual phones but yet I see two credits of $103.04 in my bank account. We were never charged the taxes to get a credit. I used Apple Pay for both transactions.
Edit: Don’t think I explained myself right. I received credits for authorizations that fell off, so I never even got a charged yet for them to credit them. Oh well, hopefully everything will get itself sorted out on the next business day.
