I ordered the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Rose Gold, Sprint ... got a text from FedEx saying it shipped from Pacoima, Ca on Friday night, "scheduled delivery Thu 9/15/2016 by end of day"

Anybody else see Pacoima, Ca on theirs? Package weight says 4 lbs...

Calling B.S. All common carriers have holds on the iPhone shipments to prevent early delivery ... It will NOT be delivered "Thu 9/15/2016 by end of day". Guaranteed.

Also calling BS. Especially located in SoCal. UPS is the carrier for SoCal deliveries. Even my iPhone 7 Plus cases shipped today via UPS when accessories always typically ship FedEx.

I understand, but it's not BS and that's kind of why I'm asking--I ordered from the Apple Store on Friday about 5:30pm CST. It asked me what carrier and when I put Sprint, it asked for my number and then came back and said it would be $419, 2 year commitment etc I didn't think Sprint was doing the 2 year deal anymore but I got a receipt from Apple, tracking number from FedEx--Apple account still says "preparing...". I checked my CC and it's not been charged, checked Sprint and nothing there either.

I have it set up so FedEx text tracking info whenever they are shipping me anything and when I hit the tracking number in the text it opened in Safari, showed Apple at first and then went to the FedEx site.

Screen shots or it didn't happen.

OK---this is the receipt not sure if I want to post the tracking since it has a bunch of my info on it...

that's not the iPhone. Why would it be leaving from California, and it shipped out on the 9th? I'm calling BS.
[doublepost=1473653568][/doublepost]also, it's not 4lbs. On my UPS shipping for my phone, it shows as 0.5kg. Why would yours weigh dramatically more?

Agree. The iPhone (as almost all other Apple products) ship directly from Apple...

UPS goes through Anchorage, AK > Louisville, KY > your house.
FedEx goes through Anchorage, AK > Memphis, TN > your house.

And the first screen shot clearly states "Delivers: Oct 4 - Oct 10".

Ha. Home delivery. Not a chance. And your phone shipped day of pre-order and your Apple account doesn't show it as shipped? Come on.

Not even just the day you pre-order but in less than an hour?! Ugh.

You ordered at 5:30CT. That's 3:30PT. It shipped at 4:18PT.

..and it shipped from Pacoima? that city is a dump. Sounds like he ordered a Case for his phone or something.

Not necessarily. Sometimes Apple ship a huge batch stateside first, then separate them and ship out from within the states. I've seen it happen multiple times for their launches, though this happen more to like Apple Watch, MacBook and stuff other than iPhones

Every iPhone that I've ever pre-ordered showed complete tracking from China to Anchorage to Louisville to me under the tracking number.

And yet every single year there's a news story and an unboxing video from someone who actually did get their phone a day early.
Not saying that's the case here but come on...... FedEx ain't infallible.

No, none of the delivery companies are infallible, but after the iPhone 4 fiasco (where many customers got their iPhones several days early), Apple has come down hard on these early deliveries. It happens... but guaranteed not in this case. Too many discrepancies in the story.

And one of the most obvious ones. Why did it take 2 days to post the tracking number? Lol. This story is such a joke it's not even funny!

Like I mentioned, it may not be an iPhone, but it's definitely NOT 'almost all.. Directly from Apple... From anchorage'
