So, I went on the trip to the Apple Store, in Austin, with my sister. We went to get an iBook and iPod because she goes to college next month. While there I just happened to ask "Do you have any of the new Mac Minis?". The Apple employee said "no".

My sister asked for what she wanted and I asked if she could check to see if they had any. They did so I brought one home.

I'm now the proud new owner of the $599 model.

I'm not certain that a 256mb memory bump qualifies as a "Rev B".

I'm happy for you. They're cool machines as you are no doubt finding out. :)

Much better than the B&W in my sig. I'm loving it. I can actually watch the movie trailers in quicktime now!

but still I find it hard to see them as 'new' adding some available options standard instead of BTO is hardly making it a newer machine...

It was just a modest adjustment because the Dollar is not as weak as it used to be. Nothing to get angry about...

agreed; there is nothing to distinguish these "new" minis from the "old" ones in any meaningful way.
